Type 01
A Class Fire Insulation — A60, A30 & A15A class insulation is a mandatory requirement in crew accommodation, stairways, corridors, and other critical spaces onboard. The classification — A60, A30, or A15 — refers to the number of minutes the insulation must resist fire penetration and heat transfer. Selecting and fitting the correct class for each location is not optional; it is a class requirement. Incorrect insulation or deteriorated lagging in these areas can lead to failed inspections, class non-compliance, and serious safety risk to crew. How we deliver it: We supply and fit A60, A30, and A15 class insulation to bulkheads, overheads, and decks using class-approved, non-asbestos materials. All work is carried out as per approved drawings and documented for class records. |

Type 02
Thermal InsulationThermal insulation is applied to hot and cold pipe systems, equipment, and machinery to control surface temperature, prevent heat loss or gain, and protect crew from contact burns. Without it, energy loss increases, system efficiency drops, and working environments become uncomfortable and unsafe. Common applications include steam lines, hot water systems, refrigeration pipework, HVAC ducting, and cold service lines where condensation control is equally important. How we deliver it: We select the correct insulation material and thickness for the operating temperature of each system, fit it properly, and finish with aluminium or galvanized cladding for protection and a clean result. |

Type 03
Acoustic InsulationNoise levels onboard are a significant factor in crew health and comfort, particularly in accommodation areas adjacent to machinery spaces, engine rooms, or high-traffic decks. Acoustic insulation reduces the transmission of airborne and structure-borne noise through bulkheads, overheads, and pipe systems. It is also required in many vessel designs to meet noise level regulations set by class societies and flag states. How we deliver it: We fit acoustic insulation to bulkheads, overheads, and pipe systems using materials suited to the noise source and the space. Where combined fire and acoustic performance is required, we specify and fit materials that meet both criteria. |

Type 04
Exhaust Manifold & Machinery InsulationMain engine and auxiliary machinery exhaust systems reach extreme temperatures. Without proper insulation lagging, surrounding structures are exposed to radiant heat, personnel face burn risk, and the machinery space environment becomes unsafe. Exhaust insulation also plays a role in maintaining exhaust back pressure and system efficiency. This is one of the most demanding insulation applications onboard, requiring materials that can perform under continuous high-temperature conditions and resist vibration over time. How we deliver it: We supply and fit high-temperature insulation materials to main engine exhaust manifolds, turbocharger lines, and auxiliary machinery exhaust systems. All cladding is finished to a professional standard and secured to withstand the vibration of normal engine operation. |

Type 05
Aluminium & Galvanized Sheet CladdingCladding is the outer protective layer fitted over insulation on pipes, equipment, and ductwork. It protects the insulation from mechanical damage, moisture ingress, and the general wear of the onboard environment. The right cladding finish also contributes to a clean, professional appearance in machinery spaces and accommodation areas. How we deliver it: We fabricate and fit aluminium and galvanized sheet cladding over all pipe and equipment insulation. Cladding is cut, shaped, and secured to suit each installation, whether straight pipe runs, bends, valves, or irregular equipment surfaces. |
Why Insulation Lagging Matters Onboard
